This edition of NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, was prepared by the Technical Committee on Electrical Safety in the Workplace and released by the Technical Correlating Committee on National Electrical Code, and acted on by NFPA at its June Association Technical Meeting held on June 2-5 2008, in Las Vegas, NV.
It was issued by the Standards Council on July 24th, 2008, with an effective date of September 5, 2008, and supersedes all previous editions.
The purpose of this standard is to provide a practical safe working area for employees relative to the hazards arising from the use of Electricity.
